10 Year Workmanship Warranty
Our Commitment
This warranty applies to all customers named in the solar system installation agreement entered with Eco Aspire Energy from the date of the complete installation. This warranty exists over and above the consumer’s rights under consumer guarantees in Australian Consumer Law.
The workmanship warranty covers you for labour-related defects arising from the installation process at the premises specified on your agreement. However, if our assessment reveals the fault, damage or defect is not part of this warranty, you may be liable for the cost of the call out. This warranty covers all work except the installation of a switchboard, the workmanship warranty period is 10 years from the date of completion of the installation.
Where the installation premise has been transferred to a new owner, Eco Aspire Energy will transfer this warranty to the new owner of the premise for the balance of the warranty period on the same terms.
Inclusions of this warranty
- To repair or replace any defects that arise from the workmanship during the installation of your solar system at the premises specified in the contract.
- To repair any damage caused during the installation process of your solar system at the premises specified in the contract.
- In accordance with the legislative requirements including any relevant Australian Standards (AS) applicable to the works
Limitations and exclusions of the workmanship warranty
To the extent permitted by law, claims are excluded from the workmanship where the defect or loss is or has been caused or contributed by:
- It does not cover the system or any of its components, including the performance of the panels or the inverter (which may be covered by separate product/manufacturer warranties and under law);
- Any act, omission, misuse, abuse, or damage (whether wilful, accidental or negligent) caused by the customer or a third party;
- Improper use of the solar system;
- Failure to comply with manufacturer instructions;
- Failure to comply with maintenance requirements set out in the Maintenance Schedule;
- Any work on the system (including modifying, moving or relocating any part of the system, even if temporary, performed by any other business or individual without the knowledge and approval of Eco Aspire Energy;
- Any extreme weather event e.g. lightening, floods, hail, power surges, pest damage, corrosion, land or building movement;
- General wear and tear of the system;
- Events outside of design range caused by the distributor or network operator;
- Interference from other devices;
- Failure to regularly have your system serviced, as recommended by the AS/NZS standards.
- Failure to promptly notify Eco Aspire Energy of any defects. You need to regularly check your
system is working properly; or any works or parts which were not part of the installation agreement;
Product Warranties
Eco Aspire Energy only uses CEC-approved products. Manufacturer warranties for each product purchased are provided to the customer. The customer is entitled to claim a manufacturer’s warranty via Eco Aspire Energy if the goods installed fail to meet the manufacturer’s warranty guarantee. Eco Aspire Energy commits to implementing the manufacturer warranty repair or replacement claims within a reasonable timeframe. Where replacement stock is not readily available onsite, will endeavour to source replacement products from the manufacturer as rapidly as possible, subject to manufacturer timeframes.
Product warranty time periods are specific to each manufacturer and are separate from the workmanship warranty provided by Eco Aspire Energy
How to claim under this Workmanship Warranty
You must provide all reasonable assistance to Eco Aspire Energy to help us diagnose and rectify any defects over the phone. If you do not do so, costs to attend your premise may not be covered by this workmanship warranty.
